Job offer to make vaccines

Thread Starter
My husband was laid off a year ago. He is working a little now but getting more job offers (things are starting to look up )

He had a call today for a job to make Swine flu Vaccines with Baxter.

He just looked at me after the call. We both don't believe in vaccinations.

It would be interesting to get a behind the scene look at what happens with making them. They are looking to hire a lot of people. If you have followed the 'vaccine wars' articles, it seems like the US is getting into panic mode.

Anyways, he won't take the job due to ethical reasons.

I'd almost have to just to see. Be like an inner spy and find out what really happens behind the scenes...

In the 70's I know someone who worked for (what was - Connaught Labs, in Swiftwater, PA- they are now known as Pasteur Merieux)

this man was a "seasonal" worker during the swine-flu and got so sick and ended up not being able to finish out the time he was to be there, at the time so many other works got sick too, all he did was push carts of eggs from one room to another

You might want to also post in the PA tribe section - since the lab is in PA and others might give you some insight- it still hires tons of "seasonal" workers, it's the second biggest employer in Monroe county PA (at least it use to be?)- they are currently giving $$$$$$$ to start a state medical school, they send out lots of "information" saying how wonderful a company they are!!!

Good for him!!! Just think... if everyone did that, they wouldn't have anyone to work for them and carry out their dirty work!! Now wouldn't THAT be nice!

And if no one would join the military, and no formal religion, and refuse to put money into the bank to collect interest....we could all live in harmony...(oops I think HARMony has taken on a different meaning for tptb)

There was a song along those lines back in the 60's- anyone know it?

I never said Baxter was in PA or even implied it.

I MENTIONED about a person that worked in a LAB in PA that makes vacs- I was under the impression the poster wanted to know about working in a lab that made vacs.- did I miss something?

Oh, its probably just me! I think what confused me was you said "You might want to also post in the PA tribe section" and since the posters lab was Baxter, I thought you were implying this lab was in PA. All sorted out now, I get what you were saying... thanks for clarifying.
