Bloody Show? - may be TMI

So uh, I usually wear pantyliners and I just noticed a brown streak on the one I've been wearing today. I wiped myself and yeah, there's a brown discharge. Is this bloody show? Also, I was having some more intense than usual contractions earlier today but they've fizzled out.

With DD, my bloody show was definitely bloody...a combo of blood and bloody mucous.

Today I had an internal exam, and I bled a bit afterward. However, I'm still bleeding a bit when I wipe...red and sometimes mucousy. I'm hoping it is my bloody show. I'm due tomorrow and I've been having uncomfortable contrax every 5-10 minutes since 4PM (but nothing that bad).

Well, brown spotting turned into red spotting. I'm still spotting this morning. I've been having contractions of varying intensities throughout the night and this morning. There may be a baby this weekend.

Fingers crossed for you!

That's a good sign that it's turning red! If it's red (fresh) rather than brown, it's likely to be from your cervix thinning and opening rather than a vaginal exam etc. Though I had mine a week ago tomorrow (huge... and I mean HUGE amounts of red-streaked mucus) and am still pregnant!

Hope this is it for you. :

My show started about 24 hours before my "false" labor turned into active labor and continued throughout the labor. I had no idea how much blood and mucus I would be getting rid of ! Seems like they ought to call it a flow instead of a show. I hope you have your baby soon!

I would imagine your in labor now. I remember mine going from brown to red pretty quick. It was red at 6pm (I went to church that evening not fully expecting to go into labor at night) and I started into labor at 1am.

Thanks for the well wishes mamas. I'm going to head off to my midwife's house pretty soon since ctx seem to be between 4 and 5 mins apart (occasionally 6 mins).
