Crunchy Mama, I'm going to ignore the idea that we could feel worse at first. Cause I can't do anything to make DH feel worse, so I'm going to assume that he's already had all his feeling-worse-years, and that's done. Lalalalalala.
With vacation next week, and trying to get ready this week (not a rousing success so far), we've been on/off, but tonight was tasty.
Our veggie side was:
most of a bunch of celery, diced
5 bunches baby bok choy, dice
3 bunches green onions, thin slices
garlic (used 9 or 10 heads, next time 12-14)
ginger (about 1.5" section)
salt--about 1.5 tsp
sugar--1T (yeah, not the best)
cooking fat, amt as seems appropriate
Sauteed garlic and ginger a couple mins in fat (I used palm shortening), added celery and salt, cooked several minutes, added sesame oil and sugar, then added baby bok choy, cooked a while longer, tried to let some of the water boil off, then added green onions near the end.
I made this a while back and it worked well, and it tasted good cold, as leftovers. A big plus in my book.
