Peace Fleece is Bee-yoo-ti-ful!!

Thanks, MDC ladices, for introducing me to Peace Fleece. I just got my order in (only took 4 days). The yarn is gorgeous. My favorite color is the Baltic Blue, it's a really vivid peacock teal. I also got the Violet, Hemlock and Periwinkle. I'd post a photo but the picture doesn't do it justice. I got 3 pairs of "irregular" needles which are beautiful and such a deal at 3.50/pair. My first project: Felted Potholders! I know Peace Fleece can be difficult to felt--what kind of soap would make it go quicker? Dr. Bronner's? Dish soap?

No help on felting but I agree, Peace Fleece is ever so nice to knit!

I love, love, love the colors of Peace Fleece, and I love knitting with it. And it really does soften up nicely upon washing.

Hmm...maybe I need to order some more...

You and me both! I so love Peace Fleece, was actually just knitting some Hemlock (blanket square for Afghans for Afghans) today, but the other three colors she mentioned, I've never seen.... I've been trying to stash knit, but maybe a few skeins of Peace Fleece....

I know soap will help, not sure if one kind is better than another. I've used Dr Bronner's and Eucalan, can't say I noticed a difference.

I just read Knitting for Peace, and it got a very nice chapter in there.

Ok I'll try the Dr. Bronner's then cause I like it better

I have the Hemlock color too--it's really pretty!

Anybody have pics of finished Peace Fleece projects?

I felted it down to size a little after baby was born, and it was so much nicer when I did. (3 washes at 60 on a cotton cycle, if anyone has a front-loader.)

I have other projects, which somehow sadly have never actually been shown in their finished state...
