Well, still working on DH, he's afraid if we don't at least go and see the urologist in Sept. and then something later down the line happens to DS it will be our fault we didn't take him to the Dr. I still have time to convince him though, DS is cured and has no more issues right now, so I feel comfortable with my decision to cancel appt. Trying to see if there is another dr on our insurance plan we can switch to but so far no luck. Thank you mommas for all the replies, helped put me at ease.

For your DH, try comparing it to a toe.

Foreskins and toes are quite similar in some ways. One doesn't really need all of one's toes, just like one doesn't really need a foreskin. There are many people walking around with missing toes leading healthy productive lives, just as there are many people walking around with missing foreskins. Both toes and foreskins occasionally get problems. Toes are actually more prone to issues than foreskins.

So, for a minor infection that has cleared up with no lasting issues, would you agree to have a toe amputated? Would you take you DS to a podiatrist to look at the completely healed toe?
