Where to buy the fishy pool?

Thread Starter
I have a friend who is due soon w/ her baby. I told her I got my fishy pool at Target (last summer). She checked her local one and they didn't have it. Does Target not have it this season? Or was it just her Target? I checked on their website too and didn't see it.

It's this one: http://www.yourwaterbirth.com/other-...-pool-p-2.html

If Target doesn't have it then where else could you get one locally?? Never occured to me that Target might not have it each summer.

i used that one. i checked out target almost daily and snagged two of them for $4 :

i should have taken all of them and passed them out on mdc hahaha.

i'll keep an eye out at my target and keep you in mind. i don't recall seeing them though.

ebay has tons of pools.

I found this one at Quality Inflatables, but it's a hexagon instead of a circle. Looks bigger than the round one. (I have not purchased from this company so I don't know how the service is, etc.)

I've gotten mine from Birthwithlove.com Excellent service and really nice pools.

I think that is the same pool that is sold at Inhishands.com

I couldn't find the fishy pool locally, but I found several places online that sold it. The cheapest place was Red's Pool and Patio (scroll down) and it comes in a couple different sizes. I had to get the 60" because I don't have much room. I think it came to about $26 total after shipping. Amazon had it for around $30 without the shipping, so I wound up saving a few bucks.

Hi Tina! I'm pretty sure they sell them at the birthing home that isn't too far from you. I think G recently bought one from there. Otherwise you can find it online. I bought mine from YourWaterbirth.com but you have to pay shipping and the pool is pretty heavy.

subbing, because if my Target doesn't have one, I'll need to order it.

I asked the same thing a few months ago. From the responses I got, the cheapest places are Baby Birth and Beyond, and youwaterbirth.com. However, now I see the site someone else mentioned on your thread, the redspools.com, and those are way cheaper I believe! Wow.

Adding: I see that the 60" pool on the Red's site is 20" high vs the 22" one that they sell on the birthing sites. I wonder if this would be high enough to please (I'm tall)? Anyone have experience with it? I see the 2 bigger options on there are 22" but I'm afraid we don't have room for a 77" diameter one...

I just got my fishy pool last week. I ordered it from www.preciousarrows.com
It was the cheapest place I could find - $41 including shipping. I ordered it Monday evening and it arrived on Thursday morning. My midwife said that if we're going to get a kiddie pool, it's pretty much the best one to get, so I was glad I went ahead and ordered this one instead of getting a slightly cheaper one locally. The site ships so quickly, she should be able to get it in time.

It's hard to find this summer because it's not being made. And they don't know if they'll make it next summer or not. So, the only ones being sold are left over from last year.

Good luck!

Amazon.com often has good prices.

I think thats beacuse the Red's one doesnt appear to be the "official" fishy pool made by intex, which may or may not matter. The fish on the outside arent at all the same, I'd simply wonder if it was as sturdy. Hope so for those who've ordered it!

I'm 5'8, 200lbs at time of labor, and with my last birth I had a 22 inch tall one (this one, got it locally), and it was just enough room for me. I considered a deeper one this time, but for the money and to keep the diameter and capacity managable, I'll stick with the 22 inch again, but wouldnt go any smaller.

For some reason no one here in my northern suberb of Atlanta has the fishy pool locally! I cant believe I'm going to pay $40++ for a baby pool I could have gotten for $20 ish (or less!!) last year!

ETA: I just ordered it for $38.54 including shipping to GA from www.preciousarrows.com, thanks pp for posting that link!!

I ordered this pool from Red's about a week ago based on the recommendation here and it actually is 22". The brand is "The Wet Set" by Intex. Red's ships really fast!

Thanks for posting that for future pool buyers! I was sure they'd be different brands or something! Wish I had waited 24 hours to buy mine! Oh well!

Yes, I ordered the one that says 60" x 20" (for $17.99) and it ended up being the 22" one. Since I live on the east coast, shipping was only $7 or so and I had it within a few days. I'll let you guys know if I see any problems when I inflate it to test it out.

Just subbing so I can find this easily later. We are moving in a few days and I haven't even seen our new place yet. I have no idea how big the bedroom is, so not sure which (if any) of these will fit.

Tina- I was like when I saw this thread, lol! I haven't bought my pool yet, but Rosemary has them for $20.

And I saw these pools everywhere last year and this year they are nowhere to be found: I think they are on to us, Mamas
