I don't know what's worse...taht the trials killed so many, or that they thought testing their crap on homeless people was ok.

I wonder if they actually bothered to do "safety" trials with the swine flu ax how many people would die? Probably just as many which is why they figure they should skip them so they can get the vax on the market asap.

They need to get knocked off their friggin' high pedestals in a hurry. I hope they are convicted and thrown in jail. Who the hell are they to pick the poor, unfortunate people to test their crappy products ?!?!

Believe me, there is nothing in this story that I don't believe could be true, but story seemed really strange.

First, these deaths occurred LAST year, prior to the mass media of the current swine flu. It glosses over this important detail, to me, that this trial would be for a bird flu vaccine, not the current h1n1 flu.

Second, it doesn't even list the pharmaceutical company brought under investigation. These medical defendants would have had to describe who told them to administer this trial for their defense, right?

Third, read the last chilling paragraph of the story. Poland would be the gold mine place for any test trials of dubious products, no?

A guy in the military told me this story is actually not uncommon at all. I do realize it's an old article, I just caught wind of it, and found it weird. I think the focus here though is on the trial not the vaccine itself. It was the merrits on which it was performed. Not that I would be getting a flu vaccine under different circumstances anyway lol.

here, this is what my friend i nthe military said, I quote,

"I have to get one every year (it's mandatory in the military). They do the nasal spray, though. I just got an anthrax shot about a month ago, too. The place that makes that shot has been in trouble for a bunch of stuff over the years. It's kinda lose/lose with these shots sometimes. "

I just recently heard on NPR that there are currently 10,000 people lined up as volunteers for the H1N1 vax trials. They reported that they will not disclose any severe reactions to the vax.

Also on a positive note, the scientists are having a hard time growing the virus on eggs. Apparently it grows very slowly.

Isn't it interesting how they were testing out vaccine trials for bird flu H5N1 the very same one that contaminated thousands of vaccines in Feb of this year. Look at the timeline. It's obvious they developed a vaccine for bird flu, then tried to create a market for that vax by "accidentally" releasing the live virus in the seasonal flu shots intended to be used around the world. Pathetic. I think what they did to those homeless people was criminal.. As if homeless people are disposable. Let's hope the swine flu vax isn't as deadly as the bird flu vax used in the trial!
