AustGirl--so glad you got a tongue tie diagnosis. I asked the ped about it last week and she said no Don't know if it's worth finding a specialist or not, or if I just have to accept that either my baby or I or both are just incapable of doing this correctly. We're back to the LC today--we'll see what happens. Although I've seen her a whole lot of times, this is the first time that I've realized that there is still a problem with eating and not just with me healing, so maybe she'll have some new suggestions ...

Quate, can you get another LC to take a look? The first one we saw was good, but she never even considered tongue tie. Unless you take a really good look at Kynan's mouth, all seems fine. I still have to see the specialist to confirm that's what it is, but now that I've been thinking about it, it makes perfect sense. I asked my GP to look for it last week and he said it was okay.

Keep us posted on what the LC says today.

The good news is that Marius seems to be back to breast, except for the occasional evening bottle given by DH.
The bad news is that my (foster) mom died yesterday. The funeral is in Canada and I can't leave the country b/c of my immigration status.

Super mega hugs to you Alicia. Its good to process how your birth turned out, and its hard not to do the "what if" thing. With my first I did what you thought you should have done. I transfered and got the epi after 30hours of labor. I also got pit and thats when things went downhill.
With this birth I did the best possible thing and went for the homebirth only to have to transfer again. I'm more at peace this time knowing that my transfer was necessary and my c/s was necessary. Even though it doesn't make it any easier that I missed out on a VBAC. But you still have that hope to hang on to. Researching and planning my VBAC healed my first birth. I'm still tring to figure out what will heal me from this one.

I have been having period cramping too!! I too a pregnancy test last week and it was negative, thankfully. DH and I dtd the other night and I had some bleeding so I thought I had my cycle back but nothing came of it the nect day.

Anyone losing their hair yet? Mine is coming out in big handfulls. (well I mean like 10 or so strands at a time as opposed to a random strand here and there.) I am so psyched because my hair is uncomfortably thick! I am resisting the urge to chop it like I did post ds1. I want to grow it looong again.

So excited for you Katie, that your hubby will be visiting soon!!
