I've never made meat loaf before just never something I liked growing up. DH really likes it so I gave it a go this evening. There is 10 minutes left until its done. I used 93/7 ground beef and right now when I checked it there seems to be a lot of oil. What do I do with all that oil? Do you just drain it? The recipe showed it coming out of the oven all nice and pretty no oil.

The reason you don't see any oil in the pictures and it looks so pretty is most likely because they're using a meatloaf pan. It's basically a loaf pan with a raised, slotted floor that allows the oil to drain in to a separate holding pan under the loaf itself.
I just drain it off of ours. I might drizzle a little over mashed potatoes, but just very little for the flavor.

I pour most of it off shortly after it comes out of the oven. Let it rest a few minutes to reabsorb any moisture it needs, but before it solidifies I want it off, since I just stick the whole pan in the fridge and it makes it difficult to dish out cold.
