signature question

I just went and did a signature without any links and it is not showing up. Are we not allowed anything in our signature at all? I thought just links were not allowed now

One has to post before their signature shows up. Also it only shows on new posts not from before sigs were reset.

Tacking on another question. Can I name my blog in my signature without linking it, or do I need to remain nameless, so to speak?

Also, can I link to my blog in a post if the content of my blog is relevant to the content of the thread?

You can have the icon in your siggy, but not the link text.

If you click the link in my siggy, I'm making a list of all our MDC Mama blogs. Just follow the instructions in the post and I can add you.

Posting content here is preferred to linking. We can link in our specific Critique My Blog threads in Writing for the Web Forum, but not in general discussions.

What happens when you make a siggy then change it? Does it go back and change all siggys from reset on forward or do the siggys evolve as you change them overtime?

Does that make sense? I'm seeing the question in my head, but not how to phrase it.

I would think it should change on the posts posted *since* the reset.

So for a new sig to show, we have to make a new post? Are all our old posts without sigs, then, or are they auto-filled with the new one?

Once you reach 50 posts and 60 days of membership you will be able to use more smilies.
