Seriously, someone tell me how to turn his volume down!! I don't know what happened, but the day DS turned six, suddenly he was unable to do anything at less than maximum volume!
Generally, I'm able to tune him out, but today....Ugh! The constant stomping and jumping and flipping and flopping like he's some sort of kung fu warrior is making me lose my mind! I've tried suggesting other activities, I've tried suggesting he take it to his room or outside, I've tried flat out saying, "You have to stop doing that in here, it's driving me crazy!" And HE'S STILL DOING IT!! DH will be home from work at 4:30, and he's taking the kids to the park so I can get some things done around here...but this last hour is gonna be a lllloooonnnnnng one!
I heard that six would be challenging and moody, but nobody mentioned how stinkin' LOUD it was going to be!!!

Sounds like he just wants to express himself and is having a lot of fun! When I was a kid, my mom always complained about me and my sister being "too loud" and we always felt we were quiet. Every time we turned around, she was yelling at us to be quiet or stop doing stuff - which in our model of the world, was just having fun.
