What can I plant now?

I have some empty space in 2 of my gardens and I would like to fill it up. I'm in zone 5 (central Iowa) and have a fairly large seed collection (). What would you suggest planting?

I am in z5 too

You can plant;
dwarf snap beans, beets, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, celery, kale, collards, mustard greens, leaf lettuce, and turnips

I'm planning on planting more sugar snap peas & bush beans in the next couple days as well as broccoli (from seed - I have no idea if I'll get any broccoli or not, but I figure its worth a try!). The bush beans I got are supposed to be mature in just 51 days (which would/should put us in that first week or two of september if I get them in shortly), and the peas & broccoli *like* the cold and shouldn't mind a mild frost...

So thats my plan. I figure that at least the peas/beans aren't going to hurt the soil even if I never get anything from them - they'll just be putting nitrogen back into the soil and be 'green manure' if nothing else.
