How much sleep does your 4yo get? - Page 2

Mine 4.75 yo has never needed much sleep (much to my disdain).

He gets about 8ish hours maybe and functions very well. We used to go to bed at 8, but he never fell asleep until really close to 10.
I gave up the battle and now we just go to bed around 9:30ish. Much less battle at night and he gets up at 6 just fine.
ETA: he only slight naps at daycare cause it's required, but no naps on wknds

It's a blessing during the week when gotta get up and go, but the weekend sucks cause he's still up at 7, at the latest....oh well

He never slept as a baby...I'm mean that just shy of literally. He didn't even sleep through the night till he was 2.5ish...so, I out to be glad he sleeps as mush as he does now. Lol.

My 3 year old son sleeps about 10.5-11 hours/night. 12 when he's having a growth spurt or was really restless and itchy during the night.

It sounds like your son is getting roughly the same amount of sleep. Maybe he's having a hard time falling asleep earlier because it's light so late?

Our 4 yo sleeps from about 8pm until about 7-8am. But no naps AT ALL during the day (and she hasn't napped since about 2.5).

Both girls go down at 7. DD1 usually stays up & is quiet in her room for an hour or so. Looks at books with a flashlight. We have a classical station on her clock radio. That kind of stuff. She normally crashes around 8-8:30. Unless it was a really physically active, busy day. Then she'll probably fall right asleep. Anytime between 6 & 8 is fair game for waking up. She averages around 7:30.

All in all I'd say she averages about 11 hours a night, although she's OK on 9 or 10, and occasionally gets in a good 12+.

My 4 1/2 year old usually sleeps for 11-12 hours--if I get her up to pee in the night it's more like 12 hours, and if I don't it's usually 11.

Ds usually goes to bed between 8 and 8:30, and he gets up around 7:30. So about 11 hours. No nap, but he occasionally falls asleep in the car for a bit if he's had a really busy day.
