DD has been in bum genius diapers ever since she grew out of her newborn diapers. So far they've been great and I love the design (minus the rubbing on her tummy from the velcro). But, they are fitting perfectly at the largest possible setting as she is now 20 lbs and has slightly chubby thighs and a nice little round tummy. I'm worried that she will soon grow out of these diapers. I'm looking for something that she won't be able to get off easily as she discovers her diaper (probably soon!) and starts toddling around. I really love pocket diapers, so i'd prefer that. So, what's good that compares to the bum genius diapers??

Fuzzi Bunz size large should last until PT no problem. KCK Pockets are OS but have a very long rise. They are typically made with velcro, but you can also find them with snaps (ArtsyFartsyFooFoo on etsy makes them with snaps, I know).
However, don't buy diapers yet- your LO may slim down with crawling and walknig,a nd the BG may last longer than you expect.

My son outgrew BGs; the rise was too short for him. We used FB petite (the large were too big on him) and HH one-size. The HH one-size were my favourite b/c they fit him great during the day with one insert but they also worked overnight with 3 inserts. He didn't fit the FB petites with 3 inserts.

I agree with the PP about your LO slimming down. My son Jack is 2.5 yo and34 lbs and still wears BG during the day with no problems and does my 20lb 15mo son Liam. They have two totally different physiques...one is stocky and thick and one is long and lean and they share the same diapers. At night we use FB...Jack wears the Large as he outgrew the mediums awhile ago...Liam wears the mediums...the annoying thing about BG is the velcro...Liam does take his diaper on if he isn't dressed...plus after 2.5 years of the same diapers being used daily, I had to replace the tabs on all my BG which I will probably have to do again before Liam PT.

Wow, seriously? Hmm... may TRY them out then. I can tell the rise of the bum genius diapers is getting to be a problem more so than her weight. Occassionally the velcro even comes undone and the diaper falls off because of the short rise
Mostly that's cus DH just puts the diapers on without re-adjusting them so the velcro probably doesn't engage as much as it should. I might get one or two in medium and large and see how it goes.
Has anyone tried the SNAP-EZ diapers?

Check out the BG one size diapers. They have adjustable elsetic on the legs and back to get a perfect fit that iwll grow with the baby.

Not entirely sure how to explain this, but the sides of the front panel are bending down toward her thighs as if to extend the amount of fabric that goes around her thighs. I'm pretty sure that means she needs something with bigger leg room. The fuzzi bunz seem like they would definitely work for that as they are roomy in the legs (according to the measurements I looked up). If I measured right, her legs are 11 inches around. That's 1 inch short of a size large fuzzi bunz... so i guess we'll see how that works for us. Her rise with a fully stuffed BG diaper on is 17 inches though... unless i'm totally off on that measurement, lol.

I'd look into thirsties v2 pocket aio! I have larges and they run big and I LOVE them...no leaks ever.. My son was HUGE and this was really the only diaper that fit his shape and size well that I found...he still fits in them very well, but can now fit back into his BG OS (baaaarely, i sorta have to struggle to get them on and they leave some marks) now that he's 3 and thinned out a bit (still stocky and super tall though!)
