Supplementing

I hope this is the right place to ask.
Due to my pregnancy my supply pretty much decreased to maybe 5 oz. a day pumped. DS is almost 10 months old. He weaned himself 2 weeks ago, he won't breastfeed no matter what I do. That doesn't help my supply either.
I had a deep freezer with a stash. I'll doubt it will last even another month. I still continue to pump what I can, but I was thinking I will have to supplement with formula at least for a month.
DS refuses every formula I have tried so far. Has anyone tried goats milk? Would it be o.k. to supplement with that given he likes it? I still pump, just not enough in quantity.
I'm a bit nervous what to do when I run out completely.
Thanks!!

I personally think goat or cow's milk would be fine for a 10-month-old as long as they are eating a variety of solids. I mean nothing magical happens at 12 months to make milk OK and the BFing expert Dr. Jack Newman thinks cow's milk is fine for older babies.
I'm not surprised your babe won't drink formula – give it a taste and you'll see why. I've always needed to supplement about 8 oz a day and my LC told me I could switch to cow's milk at 9 months.
One thing I'd add. From what I've read, babies as young as yours are usually striking and not self-weaning when they refuse to nurse.
If YOU are interested – and ignore me if you're not – there are good suggestions on Kellymom.com about overcoming a nursing strike. If you wanted to you could try them and do your supplementing at the breast with a SNS or Lact-Aid which would likely bump up your supply.
I just make the suggestion because I know many women here are keen to nurse through pregnancy and tandem when the new babe arrives. Please ignore me if you're not

Thank you for your thoughts. I still pump what I have and I still try to encourage breastfeeding. He still refuses after almost 3 weeks.
He eats fine, good amounts. Maybe I am stressing too much on it. I was hoping to tandem nurse and who knows, maybe he will start again once the babe is born in January.
I will check out Kellymom, thank you for that.

Are you mixing your BM with the formula? I had this sort of trouble with DS2, and I tried the staight formula at first and no way- he would not take it. I had to mix my BM with formula, and gradually change the ratio until he was finally on all formula. Worked great even though I was sad to not nurse anymore I don't know anything about goat's milk, but just thought I would mention this, in case you hadn't thought of it.
