I took my son to the Dr. this morning for his yearly check up, and after he was done he told me that he is no longer seeing patients that are not vaccinated. I know some on here see him, so I wanted to give you a heads up.

I'm kinda bummed because I really like him..well I guess I have to find a new Dr. If anyone has any recommendations that would be great. They don't have to be peds. GP/family doctors are fine. Thank you.

I could not imagine a provider saying that to me I hope you find another provider that accepts your family choices whatever they may be.

OH MY GOSH! My heart just nearly stopped. I really like Dr Lampert-I wonder what in the world happened. I am totally shocked and very disappointed. I will also need to find a new dr I guess. I'm very upset about this. So, does this mean he isn't seeing patients who are not vaccinating at all? Is he seeing those who delay or selectively vaccinate? I really don't know what to do. We have a well visit coming up and I was going to take my child in for a 3rd dose of DTaP......I really do not know what I will do.....

Does he practice at YorKids? Is that the name of the place? I have only heard of him, but I would be willing to bet that he would keep clients that selectively vaxed or delayed. I wonder if he sees it as a risk to his license? I'm so surprised.

His practice is Village Pediatrics..he didn't say anything about selectively/delay, only unimmunized..I was pretty shocked.

I'm sorry, I can totally see why! I am sure you will find someone even better, I know of a great NP, but I don't think she sees kids.

Someone just told me about this...what a BUMMER. I was about to schedule our well visit- but in that case I'll just call and ask upfront. I don't feel the need for the practice to get paid being rude.

MaxsMom, Dr.Lampert himself said that AFTER the whole visit? Just wow.:

I have had the same experience with Dr. Lampert and Dr. Brennan.  Our old ped left the area and Dr. Lampert took over her practice.  My son is 85% vaccinated but has a medical reason for not having the rest of his vaccinations supported by a specialist from Boston which Dr. Lampert had the letters in the file but still said he wouldn't keep us.  Unfathomable.  I think that something must have happened up in the York Hospital area that made all the doctors change.  Frustrating.
