At home. We have been seeing a Midwife when we were still trying.

We really want to do a home birth, right now I'm in the process of finding a midwife I like.

i don't think anybody should be embarrassed to share their choice, no matter what it is. it's great to be part of a community that has some diversity

I had a bad hospital birth with my first that ended in an unnecessary c-section. I had a wonderful hospital VBAC with my second as was home in 26 hours. I would have left earlier, but the dr didn't come around until about 24 hours after birth. I had an OK HBAC with my third. I am not really sure what I will do this time around. I haven't spoken with the MW I used last time and I'm not 100% sure I want to use her again. I liked her, but I'm just not completely sure she was right for me. However, from what I've heard of the other MWs in the area, I am not sure if they are right for me either. I may end up choosing another hospital VBAC this time - I am not sure yet.

My midwife just called me and told me that she had so many people email her and ask if she was available in April that she was full, but she wanted to call me and see if I wanted to be on her calender first.

Only downside is that she's already booked to go out of town to a conference for 4 days...the 4 days leading up to my EDD.

She said she had a back up who she thought I would like, but the back up lives in another town 2 hours away. I'm not sure what to do now because a) I love my midwife and b) there really aren't any other midwives around here that I trust, and I don't want to have a hospital birth.
