Red raspberry leaf tea?

Hello!
I have a bunch of RRL left over from my last pregnancy. I never had a chance to use it, but I'm wondering if anybody might have some info on the safety of taking it after having a c-section.

I am not pregnant ATM, but probably will be in the near future. I will be trying for a VBAC. My last baby was born in March (emerg. c/s,) so there will be a short interval between births. I know that RRL can bring on alot of BH contractions, is this dangerous after having a c/s and getting pregnant soon after? Would taking it be beneficial to aid healing, or would it be a bad idea?

I have no data for you, but I've been drinking RRL infusion since last fall and have not felt any BH contx. And, my MW (who is very educated in Naturopathy) is VERY supportive of me drinking it.

My naturopath recommended I drink RRT throughout the pregnancy, as well as Nettle Leaf & Alfalfa. She recommended combining the herbs and drinking one cup of tea per day for 1st trimester, 2 for the 2nd, and 3 cups a day for the 3rd.

I think it must help tone the uterus and get it ready for a productive labour.

I don’t think there is any reason not to drink it right now! I'm not pregnant (atm, working on it!) and I drink RRL tea. If you are unsure/uncomfortable drinking it once you get pregnant you can always stop until you get into the last trimester, or until you can talk to your midwife/dr about it.

Thanks everyone for replying! I might start taking it now in hopes that it will help heal/tone things up before getting pg. I hate to waste it, and if it might help I don't see why not...

I drank RRL and nettle tea a lot after my c-section. I think they are great for healing and strengthening the uterus.
