I'm expecting another baby in March so plenty of time but I've been kinda out of the CD loop for a while. I'm leaning towards the organic cloth-ez prefolds from greenmountain diapers and was really looking at the Thirsties duo covers. Anyone have and like these? I love the size range but wonder how they work on a newborn can I snappy/pin a diaper with them or just fold and lay in cover (DH prefers that I prefer to fasten so both options would be best).

The Thirsties duo covers are new. The person who does the ordering at the home store of the co-op I go to said they just came out a month or two ago. I think that might be why there aren't a lot of responses here. They've ordered a batch for my co-op, which should be arriving in a few days. I plan to buy one to check it out. I can let you know what I think. The regular Thirsties covers are awesome, so I have high hopes for these.

My baby is only a couple weeks old, but I did order one duo wrap to try in addition to my thirsties x-smalls. So far it's great! My little guy was almost 9 lbs at birth, and he was never small enough for the smallest snap, but I think he should be in the middle snap for awhile. They seem to fit just like regular Thirsties with the added benefit of lasting longer. I will probably order more when we get near the end of the x-smalls.

we have been using these almost since they came out. they are great. they are a little trimmer in fit than the regular thirsties. the regular ones seem to be a little bit bigger in the booty. my baby is 4 months old now and about 20 lbs, and on the smallest setting of the size 2. i will def be buying the size 1 thirsties for the next baby!

Thanks gals I knew they werea newer cover but didn't realize how new. I of course have no idea the size my baby will be but judging from my first and family history I'll grow em small and slender. Anyways love to hear updated reports on anyone using them I love the size range and the overall trimness facter it seems to give.
For those that are using them how breathable if any do they seem?

Good to know! My LO is 4 months, also (going to the doctor this Friday...not sure what he weighs, but he's on the chubby side). I'm going to get a size 2 to see how I like it...before I go and buy a set of the regular Thirsties covers in medium. If I can just buy the size 2's and not have to buy mediums and THEN buy larges later, that would be awesome. I like that these new covers only cost about $1 more than the regular ones, but you can use them longer. Sweet!

My 30 month old uses the size 2 on the second to largest size (he weighs around 29 lbs, I think). i'm happy with the fit, they seem to breathe fine. (like any PUL cover). They are made to be a little trimmer for the tush, so with lots of bulk at night, I usually use a regular Thirsties cover or a wool soaker instead.

i dont even know if you would need larges, as the duo size 2's get quite big. i do have two regular thirsties in size med for night, because as someone else posted the duos dont hold quite as much bulk. her medium thirsties are quite a bit larger on her than the setting she is using on the duo wraps. any larger and i would say they were too big actually.

The size looks good so far. I am planning on using trifolded prefolds in them, and bought them in part because they are said to be trim enough to do well with that.
