Childs permanent teeth coming in wrong?

My daughters top front baby tooth finally fell out :

BUT, the permanent tooth that is supposed to take it's place is not coming in through the hole where the baby tooth fell out, it has pushed through the gums very high above this.

This is my first experience with permanent teeth coming in, so I have no idea what is considered normal. I was under the impression the new tooth would push through the same hole.

She has a checkup next month but I'm wondering if I should try to get her in sooner.

I believe the teeth will continue to move a little after they first come through before finding their permanent spot. My brother & I both had our adult teeth come in behind our baby teeth & we both have perfect teeth as adults (no braces).

I hear a lot of movement happens, my daughter's bottom permanent tooth is coming in at QUITE the odd angle, I'm hoping it twists a lot. Not really helpful, exactly, but there are others hoping/expecting for movement after first eruption.
