4 yr. old and a first cavity

My ds was at the dentist for the first time, and they found a cavity in the upper right back molar.

The dentist said to get it filled because baby teeth are not very strong. This is the holistic dentist that I personally use.

What would you suggest?

Better nutrition won't really work. At home we're pretty good, whole grains, lots of meat/chicken, part of it organic... BUT, he's in school - and there he has lots of white stuff. I can't help that, since he's a really picky eater.

I can't use the MI paste, because it has milk in it and we keep Kosher.

Which xylitol is recommended? What other toothpaste works well?

HOw urgent is the problem? It's a small cavity.

Thanks, Ana

I say get it fixed because it will just get worse and you never know when it might start hurting. My ds 4.5 yr. recently started work on his teeth and the dentist was able to fill one just using nitrus and numbing shot. But unfortunatly ds needs so much work that we are going to have to go with sedation using oral meds.

I refuse to do GA for dental work because of the risk of death. So there are other option out there to do the work other than GA if it comes to that.
