Recycled cashmere covers

Thread Starter
I bought a couple of these on ebay on a whim last week. They arrived today, and they are actually reallllllly beautiful. I washed and lanolized them and they are now drying on a rack.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with covers made from recycled wool of any sort? I didn't know what to expect from these, my only wool experience thus far being the Aristocrat. I can't afford a bunch of new aristocrats for my new baby (to be born any day now) but I really wanted to have some wool in my stash for him, so when I managed to snag these for less than ten bucks a piece, I went for it.

Any ideas as to how I might expect them to perform?

we get our recycled wool from : http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=6486398 .. they are super cute and the mama is awesome! i do lanolize them again after i get them. she does it before she sends them out, but it seems to help their function if they get an extra lanolizing. i have never tried cashmere, but it sounds nice and soft! i plan to do a bunch of recycled wool this winter, with maybe a couple nice knitted pairs of longies thrown in there.

I love recycled wool covers! I make my own- longies or shorties. I felt the wool a bit before I start. I use sweaters that are at least 80% wool, usually 100%.
Once felted, sewn, and lanoized, they are nearly leakproof. In the winter, recycled wool longies are my overnight diapering solution.
My mom has knitted a lot of wool covers for my little ones, but the sweater pants are better for nighttime, even if Mom's covers are much prettier.

For my new little guy, I'm planning on making a few recycled wool sleep sacks for this winter.
And at least one recycled wool wetbag. . .
