How soon after bloody show?

How soon after your bloody show did you go into labor?
I had some blood tinted mucus yesterday morning. I have been having 2-3 hours of contractions for the past 2 nights. It is so frustrating when they just stop. This is my 3rd child and I have never dealt with prodrominal labor like this. It's rediculous! I am mentally exhausted. My other 2 children came at 38 & 38.5 weeks. Being 40 weeks 2 days is torture...

Seriously considering the induction that my midwife offered for Monday morning (She is going on vacation on Wednesday...)

I had bloody show almost 2 weeks ago (as of Sunday) and had some more today. Hadn't had any in between. It's also my third child and I've also been having loads of prodromal labor. I know for most people it's a pretty sure sign that things are happening, especially if it's a first babe. I am 40+4 but my other two were post-dates by a lot so I am not surprised to still be pregnant.

I hope this is it for one of us! :

Hanna, I feel your pain, both my kids had been born by now too. Apparently #3 are tricksters!
I had bloody show with DD, it was my first sign of labour and she was born about 48 hours later.

I am sick of my "pre-labour" this time too. I had it with my first but went straight in to productive contractions with DS.

Sooo frustrating.....

My third babe was a 43 weeker and refused to come out. I had to take castor oil and then it was a 45 minute labor.

My bloody show was the day of labor. But it was with real contractions and it continued the entire labor.

I thought I had my bloody show a week before I had my baby, but then when I was in labor I had my real bloody show, it was totally different then what I had before.

So my answer is that I was already in labor when I had mine!

OMG I so hear you. I have had the prodromal labour for weeks this time. Had contractions keeping me awake all night last night and the show this morning, and NOTHING! No real contractions, no labour.

Last time with DS1 I never had ay braxton hicks or prodromal labour. I just went into labour had the show within half an hour. I didnt give birth for around 31 hours though. But at least things were happening! Argghh Im going crazy! Im 12 days overdue already and wondering how much longer this can drag out! Im not sure I will have the energy to birth by the time it happens!

With DD, I wa in early labor when I had my bloody show. This time, it was different. I had a cervical check at my OB appointnent, which caused spotting, which never let up...basically turned into my bloody show. I had also had prodromal labor several nights in the 10 days before real labor. Then real labor was very quick. So be careful.

With DD1, I had prodromal labor for a couple days (ugh!) then bloody show and she was born 8 hours later, basically it was the first sign that labor was imminent. With DD2, I didn't have any until I was definately in full-on labor, she was born very quickly afterwards (less than an hour, I guess). Still waiting on this LO....

Hugs to you, hope today's the day!!!

I'd had mine turn from pink to blood at 6pm. By 1:00am contractions started and later that day i had my baby.

I had bloody show that went from brown to red and continued bleeding until I gave birth 27 hours later. Seems like it's different for everyone.

Within 24-48 hours... I think. Maybe.

This last week has just been one big blur... :

Mine came after labor already started - maybe 4 hours into steady contractions. But my plug didn't really drop until I started pushing!

Bloody show started a wk before the day I gave birth, BUT it lasted for that entire wk (and I had prodromal labor to go along with it). From my own exp, I wouldn't assume that just b/c you have bloody show, you will be going into labor w/in 24 hrs. That's what I had assumed and well I made myself miserable. FWIW, this is the only pregnancy I had where I got any bloody show, but this entire pregnancy was about as different as it could possibly get from my other two...

My bloody show started about 18 hours before Poppy was born. It was definitely red and ropey and just kept on coming out, not just pink-tinged mucus or anything.
