Xavier is here! Birth story link added!

Xavier was born in the water at 8:37 AM yesterday after a fast 5 hour labor. 7 lbs, 9 oz. He wound up coming face-first, but still only took 15 minutes of pushing. The birth was great and we came home from the hospital later in the day. he is nursing like a champ.

Face first! That is actually pretty cool. Were your membranes intact or did he get bruised? My sister had a face presentation whose membranes didn't rupture until she had her face mostly out... and it protected her from bruising.

He didn't get bruised and my my membranes were broken by my MW shortly before the birth. Maybe we got lucky?

Everyone is doing great. The kids came back the day after the birth. DSD was really excited and has been very helpful. DS is a little upset at having to share his mama milk, but overall I think that it is going well. It has been really nice having DH home. Our family feels much more complete now.
