Welcome! Sending you some stay-put-baby vibes!

Stay put, baby! I know how you feel and agree with you-- bedrest does suck. I was supposed to have my babe this month, but had her at the end of May. I feel like acupuncture may have helped me make it as far as I did- might be worth a try for you.

I hope you won't have to be in our DDC but if nature has different ideas I think you'll find that the ladies here will welcome you with open arms. They're a great bunch in here!

I had pre-e with my first. I was so mis-informed, took bed rest way to lightly!

Hang in there. Bed rest is tough but so worth it. I was able to hold on till 34 weeks but was so sick by that point labour was terrible. I was on magnisum phalsate (sp?), and pitocin with no epidural until i was fully dilated (no one bothered to check). Horrible situation.

REST. Drink lots of fluids. Educate yourself.

I have had a beautiful birth since and due again for another.

knitgeek, how big was your 34 weeker at birth? what issues/problems did he/she have because of being early?

i'm just hoping to make it w this birth without having a c/s cuz i know taking care of an itty bitty one is gonna be hard enough w/out trying to heal from surgery...

this will be our last baby for sure. i've had lots of problems w this one and dh says he is getting snipped.

Stay in, munchkin! : I hope you can make it a little while longer... every day matters, so take it one day at a time. Whenever your little one decides to arrive, I hope for the best possible outcome for both of you. Keep well, mama!

She was 4 lbs 11 oz. Thankfully she was fully developed (there was some concern about her lungs).

She developed jaundice. I am Canadian, so our system is a little more relaxed. She was in the NICU for a week due to the fact that I insisted on breastfeeding. They would not allow her to go home till she reached 5 lbs.

The first day I was so sick I could not even see her. However after that first day she only received my milk (I pumped and she was supplemented with my breast milk through a tube through her nose till she could nurse enough on her own.) I had to be quite insistent, some nurses really felt they had the right to give my daughter formula to "help her".

She turned 5 a few weeks ago and is tall for her age, smart and beautiful.

Hang in there. It is super scary but the more you rest and the longer that little bean can stay inside the better and easier it is for everyone.

So wishing you much luck!!!!!

*DDC Crashing*

My 34 1/2 week DS weighed 6 pounds 13 ounces (or maybe it was 14 ounces). He spent about an hour in the warmer maybe 5 hours after, because skin to skin was not working well enough to keep his temperature elevated. Other than that DS was just fine.
