Hand Me Round (Used) Motherease OS

Hi all!
I was given 13 Motherease dipes and they're pretty well loved as in:
-the inner fabric is kinda bunchy and not uniformly even/thick anymore
-the nap on the terry is noticeably worn as well as kinda worn down in some places, like when the heal of your sock wears thru but it's not really a hole... especially near the leg gathers
HOWEVER....
-They're still soft
-Only very mildly stained if at all
-Seams and snaps are all in excellent condition

In your experience is it worth it to keep them? I could make liners for them no problem, but will I be driven nuts by leaks even w/liners?

I say try them! ME are very absorbent and you can try and remove the stains in the sun. I once saw a photo from a mom who sewed on a microfiber cloth liner on the outside of the diaper and covered it with a cheerful printed fabric. It made up for the lack of absorbency in the original diaper and added such a cute touch!

I've heard that even the slightly worn-through ME dipes still work very well, so I would definitely try them.

Thanks! I think I'll try my hand at making some contoured liners and sew snaps into them to use at least for other people that might be caring for babes since I'm planning to use prefolds as my main dipe.

So that means I need to put some ME covers on my wish list, right? I heard on here somewhere that ME's only fit in their own covers. I'm planning to use Nikky's for my prefolds.

I don't have personal experience with them but folks on DiaperSwappers were saying that they work well under any fuller cut cover. Thirsties were a common choice. I posted the link in the other thread about ME in here, one mama even did a couple of comparison pics of different ME dipes under covers.
