Lochia at 4 weeks PP?

Anyone else actively bleed this long? I'm starting to get concerned, but I don't fit the doc's definition of anything concerning (I've already called). I'd just like to know if this is normal.

Totally normal, upto 6 weeks is generally considered normal. Is it lightening? If it's still heavy and bright red I might check in with the doc, in case for some reason your uterus isn't clamping down properly.

Mine was almost gone, then it picked up again at about 3 1/2 weeks and was much redder and heavier for about a week. It's reduced to almost nothing for the last couple days, so hopefully it's almost done. It will be 5 weeks tomorrow.

i bled heavily for 9 weeks with dd and i was fine. i bet you're good

I tend to bleed for at least 6 weeks PP. After that I'm one of the lucky ones who doesn't see AF return until baby weans...that was once 5 years!

Just for more reassurance, I just stopped bleeding last week st 5.5 weeks. I am so happy that's over!
