I was going to write a nice long post of my birth story and some of the hell we've (baby, DH, and myself) gone through, but I'm just not getting the hang of this "Mommy" thing as fast as I'd like. Computer time is mostly limited to things I can do one-handed while breastfeeding.
Things are finally calming down though, and I'm getting to enjoy Anaka more.
The short version is that Anaka Patricia Romana Lyons arrived 7/16/08 at 1:48am. It was a 14 hour labor, I was induced, but no pain meds.
I suffered a tear, almost completely superficial. I also lost a lot of blood. Currently anemic, doc says 3 months of iron suppliments should fix me up fine.
She weighed 9 lbs. 10 oz. 21 inches long. She took to the breast and nursed like a champ first thing.
