You're about 5 days behind me, right? I didn't feel anything much until yesterday. Just you wait, I bet you'll wish you were sickness-free soon enough....

You're due on the first? Yeah, I'm due on the fifth. I doubt I'll get sick, though...I mean, I didn't with my first. But, I was hoping for like, super smelly nose or sore boobs or something...

Feeling cranky and emotional today. Gagged while driving today, for the first time so far. Told a few more friends, and the 3 year old told everyone in Safeway. Just feeling gross and weepy.

I cried while reading the Mothering article about the mother who got her son to 'show' her how he was feeling. I'm getting a little choked up just thinking about it. I'm also getting what I call "quasi-queasy" but nothing like what I had with DS. I'm waiting for it, though. I picked up some candied ginger and these organic "tummy soothers" mints from my local natural food co-op. Heh, just realized I should have bought DS some cookies while I was there. Oh, well.

Anyways, the "mints" have a bunch of essential oils and are marketed as aromatherapy mints, and they smell and taste like herbal tea. I don't notice anything super special, but I only bought them this morning, so the jury's still out.

I still don't quite believe that I'm pregnant. I keep reminding myself.

Yeah, the super nose kicks in rather early for me. I've been having heightened smell since I got a positive test. Meat cooking really gets to me so what does my DH fix for breakfast today? Bacon. Ugh, the house still smells like it and we've had the windows open all day. Gonna break out the vinegar spray in a bit. And just this morning when we were sitting outside I about threw up smelling DD2's poopy diaper. DH thought I was nuts. So far only the slight nausea. I'll be glad to only have that for at least one more week. I hate morning sickness! Especially with lo's.

I thought my preggo nose kicked in this morning...I went in to the bathroom and I felt like I could smell everything. So, I cleaned it. But, I'm not noticing smells really anymore so than normal now.

Oh yeah, and I have the emotional factor as well. I am not normally a very emotional woman but holy cow! I get super super sensitive when pg. I've been crying about everything. Stupid things. So then I start laughing at myself after I've been crying. After I got dressed today in long shorts and a tank my DH said I looked like a mom. I got mad and started crying. Oh boy, here we go. Everyone get ready for the roller coaster.

I thought DS might be weaning today, since it took him 3 hours to ask to nurse, when he usually nurses 3 times an hour. But he's back on the boob. I don't know whether to be relieved or annoyed.

oh no! but that's so funny! and sad! ah pregnancy drives me crazy! i take everything SO says personally right now. i get SO MAD. and he's trying SO HARD to just be super helpful and patient with his crazy pregnant partner. and probably it doesn't help that he's positively GLEEFUL about how crappy i am feeling -- because he takes it as a good sign about the pregnancy which is sweet, i suppose, not because he doesn't feel bad for me 'cause he does. but i'm all dude you can take this morning sickness and @#^%$^%@$ it. am generally cranky and moody because i hate feeling so yucky! and tired and whiny. and NOTHING tastes good. blahblahblah. i've only had morning sickness for 3-4 days and already i'm all god, i've been feeling so crappy forever wahwahwahwa. i hope this is a quick 1st trimester for everyone's sake

When I was pregnant with DS, I went out to dinner to a restaurant where they had meatloaf on the menu. I'd been looking forward to it ALL DAY, but when I got there with DH, they were out of meatloaf. I cried, right there in the restaurant. Everyone teased me, because they didn't know. When I told them a few weeks later, they all felt bad. LOL.

The exhaustion has kicked in, like whoa. DD1 has been saying she is getting "TWO babies this time" and based on how many naps I have taken the last two days, I am willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. Or maybe it's just that i have a preschooler and a toddler to try to keep up with this time around, haha.

I'm feeling the same way about nursing right now. DD1 weaned when i was 7 months pregnant with DD2, but was 22months old. DD2 is already 20 months old, and I'm not sure if I have the time/patience this time to nurse while pregnant. 20 months is still a great accomplishment though, so I keep reminding myself that she is lucky to have a mama that was dedicated to going this long, which goes the same for you!
