Favorite Fitted for Tall, Skinny Toddler?

We're looking for some new fitted diapers for DS who is 28 months, 27? pounds and 36" tall. We've been using a Sandy's large bamboo since he was 11 months and have been really happy with them but the rise is getting shorter, though it says it will go to 35lbs...no way with our kid. And also, they have broken down quite a bit and this week started not absorbing the pee at all several times - full on pee running down the legs with the diaper and cover on!

We prefer snaps and especially the kind where you can snap the legs independently from the waist since he has such skinny legs and is prone to leg gapping.

Oh and also, as much as I love the super fancy looking dipes, we have a very tight budget and need to be as thrifty as possible.

Thanks for your help!

Hmmmmmm... Bamboozle 2 has a very high rise but not independent waist and thigh snaps. I can't think of something else. BumGenius bamboo large? I have never seen a Sandy's so I can't compare the sizes.

My son is very similar in age/size -- 27 months old, 26-27 pounds, 35" tall. The dream-eze fitteds in size Large are fitting him pretty well. They have two rows of snaps, are pretty trim and very absorbent. When I put them on it looks like there's a gap in the legs sometimes, but it's never ever leaked on me. We wear for nights (~12 hours) with wool on top and that dipe is totally soaked in the morning, but I've never had wet PJs or sheets with this combo.

The manufacturer (a company in Montana) has seconds for $10 each. I have some seconds as well as some first quality ones and honestly, I can't tell the difference between them.
