My breadmaker makes jam!

My Zojirushi breadmaker has a jam setting, and I finally got around to testing it out with a pint of black raspberries from the farmer's market.

YUM!

Now I can make fresh jam without heating up the kitchen or watching a boiling pot.

If it could only can the jam for me, too...

Anybody else use their breadmaker this way?

My mom's has that option too, but alas my ancient bread maker bit the dust a couple of months ago and we have yet to replace it. When we do, I will definately get that option.

I'm really having fun with it, as we have so much fresh fruit rolling around at this season. So far we've made black raspberry, peach, and sour cherry. YUM!!

I just used my jam function for the first time recently and I loved it! We had tons and tons of starwberries from going picking. They were all super ripe and I went for it! The jam was soooo good.
