Anyone used it? Likes? Dislikes?

I use Live Education and absolutely LOVE it! Each grade level includes 6-8 books, including all of the areas of study, and each book lays out how to teach the subjects. The lessons are sequential, and organized as blocks, like a traditional Waldorf school. Colorful, easy to understand, very traditional Waldorf. A supplies list in added at the beginning of each books, making preparation easy. I love them! What would you like to know?

Are there any things that you do NOT like about it?

It is a little expensive. We decided to use Oak Meadow this school year, but we do not follow it closely. I use if more for ideas.

We also purchased the Oak Meadow curriculum as a supplement to help with organization and for the AWESOME readers, but use Live Education almost exclusively for the bulk of their day. I would say that thing I have not seen yet in Live Education, but maybe I have just not used that year yet, is form drawing for the older children, ie. Celtic patterns, etc. Also, I have had to research my own songs to open circle with, but these are easily found on YouTube by the woman who runs the EarthSchooling.com website. Other than that, I can't see anything wrong with it. It offers a curriculum so close to a Waldorf classroom that I really feel that I can give my children a solidly Waldorf education at home.

The price is steep, I will agree there. We were lucky enough to have help paying for this years curriculum, but because we homeschool 2 children we will definitely have to save for next year.

Blessings,
Kelly
