Yea Mamas! :

Good to know we have a seasoned VBAC-er here Mamatoabunch!

I am planning my 2nd VBAC which will hopefully remain an HBAC this time! Feeling confident about it. I know what real labor is like now so I feel more prepared.

WoooHooo Go VBAC mamas! You can do it! (I think there are quite a few in our DDC)

2nd VBAC on the way, due august 2

Fingers crossed for a second vbac here in the next week or two, though honestly this time it isn't the vbac aspect that "worries" anyone... I've got some other conditions that make vaginal birth a bit tricky this time. So double fingers crossed that everything goes super duper smoothly.

(Oh, and if you want to change the thread title, click on the edit button, then choose "go advanced" and you can edit the title as well as the text )

Fixed it- thanks wombat!

I'm keeping all you VBAC Mama's in my thoughts! I can't wait to hear your birth stories!

Planning for a VBAC here! I'm 37.5 weeks and starting to have more frequent uncomfortable contractions. Hoping labor is not too far off. I could use some "good dilation" vibes since I never got past 1 with my DD. Hoping this time will be different!

RTT- I never got past 1cm with my dd. When in labor with my son hearing those numbers go up was such a victory in itself!

And FWIW, I went 15 days past EDD with ds. Have patience Mamas.

Just saw this on another board. I don't normally cry at birth videos or stories any more, but did w/ this one, huge gulping cries.

This is my 1st VBAC and it looks very hopeful, she is head down and in the right position!! And I'm not in the high risk category so hopefully all goes well, I am thinking very positive!!

I didn't realize how many mamma's here were going for VBAC's way to go!!!

I'm here!!

EDD Aug 26...I'm excited/nervous/excited/nervous and so on.

Everything's looking great here too. Baby is head-down and ready to go!

I got to 4.5cm last time before labour stalled so I have SOME kind of idea what contractions feel like, but as MANY seasoned birthers love to tell me , it's the 7-10cm contractions that are the killers so...eeek

Hi hi! Planning... well, kind of... my first VBA2C! I'm due August 30, but I'm having some hella contractions already! I'm thinking sooner than later. Maybe on my birthday (Aug 6) or Daddy's birthday (Aug 24). Somewhere between there!
Just moved two hours away from "home", and we have NO doctor or midwife, and I don't want one! We're just laboring at home as long as possible and showing up ready to push! Hopefully we make it in time! The only reason I'm even GOING to the hospital at all is because my placenta is attached to my incision from the two c-sections and that increases the risk a bit for placenta complications after the birth. I'm VERY nervous that the hospital is going to freak out and try to section me (even though you can't cut through the placenta!) since they don't have my med records. We'll see, we'll see!
DP gives it two weeks tops before baby gets here. The contractions I'm having now are more intense than the actual labor contractions I had with my first! I'm told that's the difference between laboring boys and girls! (This time it's a boy).
Did anybody just show up for a VBAC at the hospital?

Do you plan on bringing your records with you to the hospital? How and when did you find out about your placental placement?

With dd1 I spent a good 19 hours at 7cm before the c/s. I hated getting checked and being told "nope, still 7cm" so with my vbac I thought I wouldn't want any checks at all. But let me tell you, when I finally said ok to a check and I was at 8cm I could have cried! It made such a huge difference in my emotional space to know that I was past 7cm, and I actually asked for a second cervical check a little later on just so I could hear a number bigger than 7.

Writteninkursive- do you know if your placenta is just anterior, or is it actually an accreta situation? Given how serious the complications can be from the placenta being embeded in (or through) the scar, you may want to consider giving the hopsital a heads up before the birth to make sure they have the OR waiting (as well as your medical wishes regarding the possibility of hysterectomy, which is a common "treatment" following percretas, any information about your prior surgeries that might be relevant such as drug reactions, and a birth plan with your wishes in case you are in surgery following the birth)/IV fluids prepped in case of pph (really common with placental attachment problems). If it's just that the placenta covers the scar (anterior placenta) then the risk of complications is a lot lower and those complications a lot less scary. Plenty of mamas have vbac'd with an anterior placenta (myself included) but accretas are a different ballgame.

I hope you have a safe and blessed birth with no complications at all!

Bumping this up Mamas!

We need some love and encouragement starting now. Some of us are feeling the pressure and getting the run around from our care providers.

had my 2nd vbac a week ago. 5 hour labor, pushed for 13 minutes, unmedicated. I had a blast

Just saying HEY... here's to VBACing my LO, God willing.

Very excited to have a well support choice. Not seeking advice, just want to join the roll call.

I would love to see in the end statistically how sucessful our group was.
