But I think what actually gets passed on to moms does not always reflect what the science says. For example, my normally sensible doctor tells her patients not to eat soft cheese. Well, unpasteurized cheese is actually illegal in this province, so it's not really an issue. And how many moms get told NO AMOUNT OF ALCOHOL IS SAFE!
I think that's what people find frustrating.
One thing that I've noticed I'd like to ask people about - mercury in fish. Are the people who worry don't about mercury in fish also not worried about mercury in vaccinations? I'm not really that worried about it in vaccinations, but I know some moms are, and I'm curious.
I think that's the reason why more and more people are throwing out more and more of the "no-no" advice and taking more chances than they should. It gets overwhelming. Some of the stuff I see people I know eating is just bad now and they say they feel like if they follow the rules they will be miserable and not be able to eat anything at all.
