Same here, we get raw organic milk from a local dairy . I won't touch pasteurized milk either!

W dont do soy either. Never, no way. How is keifer different form milk. What is it exacly? I KNOW I could not get DH to buy into raw milk. But, DD and I are both lactose intolerant. I wonder if that would make a difference? What about keifer? We have to buy lactase drops for our organic whole milk. I have seen kefir milk in TJs but never got it before. Seems like there is a lot of sugar in it. Maybe just the flavored kinds? DO you use kefir and raw milk interchangeably in the same household?

Honestly, it all looks pretty good except I'd cut down on the soy and add in some more veggies!

I whole heartedly agree with the grass fed beef, raw milk, organic foods, no unfermented soy group. Since you're new to the organic thing you might find this link helpful. It's the notorious "Dirty Dozen."

There are some extensive threads on the benefits of Kefir. Kefir has a ton of beneficial probiotics. I'll try to find the links. Many make their own but I'm a newbie to it and still buy it at the store. I buy the Helios brand-plain,organic unsweetened. I add some fruits and make a smoothie. I personally love the sour taste and even my 2.5 yr old will drink it unsweetened. All depends on what you are used to though. You can buy coconut Kefir too and can also make water kefir.

We stick with the *only whole foods my great great great grandma would recognize* rule. We limit grains and sugar, lots of good healthy fats/meat from animals that are pastured, lots of veggies, and bone broths. We aren't perfect, but we try to eat that way 90% of the time and don't sweat the last 10%.

I guess when it comes to food and what is healthy, everyone has a different viewpoint. I have a good friend who is a tofu loving almost vegan. Exact opposite of what I believe to be a healthy diet. Gotta get out there and read and figure out what information you believe in. Good luck with it!
