2 y/o parents: How FEW diapers can you make it on?

DS has started holding his pee, which is good, but he's peeing so much that he's going through his Sandys fitteds. We're going to convert to Green Acre Designs AIOs but they're spendy little suckers. So, how FEW diapers do you get by with for a similar size kid?

Thanks!!!

Have you used them yet? They are great diapers, but if he pees a whole ton, I would recommend the pockets with inserts or you will need a doubler inside the GAD AIO pocket opening. The pockets are only $15.95 and if you already have inserts or infant prefolds you can use those. I only had 14 for my ds2 when he was 2 and it was fine for every other day.

I had 14 for my ds1, from when I started cd'ing at 5mos until he was pl'ed at 3yo. I think I washed every other day, but usually had to use some sposies while waiting for the washing and drying to be done.
I think any less than that would be really hard to keep dc in cloth most of the time.

Ds uses approx. 5 diapers per day and then the 1 nighttime diaper and we have a total of 15 diapers so that we can do laundry every 3 days.

Thanks everyone! We have one GAD AIO and just bought three more. We're looking at a hemp overnight dipe with wool cover for night time and the GAD AIO is managing his daytime pee well.
