Plus sized baby wearing

Hey ladies! I'm such a novice at this, I could really use a little help. In the past, all I've ever used is a hotsling, and I'm really wanting something a little different this time around.

I'd like something I can wear comfortably around the house, and potentially nurse in while chasing after my two toddlers. (I never could figure out nursing in the hotsling!) I'm a size 22ish, and a DD cup, so I need something that would work with my body type. I'd really like either a ring sling or a mei tai, I think. Does anyone have any suggestions on brands, style, etc. that would work for what I'm looking for?

TIA!!

I have been mostly size 22/24 while babywearing, and I find wraps in size 7 (5.2metres) allow me to do all carries including Front Wrap Cross Carry which takes the most length. Mei tais with extra long straps are wonderful. I have a Parapluie and a Bamberoo and with both I can tie 'tibetan' (the tie that takes the most length, and gets pressure off your shoulders without having to do the unflattering on me cross in front). I am not sure how long the straps are but if you are looking at a different brand, I would research and see how long the brands I mention are and then compare strap length.

I have a size medium Maya Wrap sling, and it's fine but I personally would like a longer tail. This one does go to my waist tho (I think even longer) so medium is good but large would give that long flowing tail. I am 5'5".

Do you have a link to either one of those? I couldn't find anything after a quick google search. Thanks!

I'm a plus sized mama, about a size 26/28. I use a ring sling from kangarookorner.com. I have a padded one, but just ordered an unpadded one too, cause we've been getting hot this summer with the extra padding. I was worried about finding something that would fit my body shape/size, and this one has really been great. They have a sizing chart based on weight, so I felt confident that it would indeed fit, and be comfortable. we've been using our sling since almost day one, and ds will be 1 in less than a month.

I made my own stretchy wrap & my own ring sling. For both I made them a little bit longer than the instructions & they worked out beautifully.

I'm about a size 22 with a G cup.

I'm a 20-22, and last time I mostly used mei tais and then an Ergo. I am hoping to branch out a little this time and maybe try a couple of wraps. I also have some pouchs. I didn't feel the love last time, but I think there were some sizing issues and I am willing to give them another try. For a newborn, I had the most success nursing in a ring sling. However, I didn't like the ring sling overall as a carrier. I always felt like I was adjusting it. I wanted something I could just wear and go. When she got older I nursed in the Ergo and it was very easy and discreet (if you're looking for that). I could never pop my boob out the top of my shirt, but if I loosened the carrier I could reach in and pull up my shirt and help her latch on. I think a lot of the logistics of nursing in a carrier depends on boob size/type and how much you need to support yourself, as well as how well the baby can stay latched on her own. I am sure there is something out there that will work for everybody, though!

I did love my mei tais even though they weren't my faves for nursing. And I never needed the extra length, thank goodness. I did need the waist extender for my Ergo. I am hoping to get a bEco this time and I am sure I will need an extender for that, too.

i'm not sure what size i am these days, but def. plus size and 40DD.
i made a pouch sling, but it starts to hurt my shoulders after a while. i just got a moby this afternoon and wore it for the last few hors and no shoulder pain.. i just tied it behind my back (instead of the optional extra wrap around the waist and tie in front from the instructions.) i'm planning to make a mei tai as well.
i like the moby and the mei tai for the two shoulder support. with a larger chest, i find the support very important.
