Eosinophilic Esophagitis

Does anyone have this? If so, how were you diagnosed and what are your symtoms? Have you been able to do anything naturally to allievate the symptoms-such as food elimination? If so, which foods are your triggers?

I am not yet diagnosed, but just underwent an endoscopy because my esophagus is swollen and food gets stuck in my throat. Those are my only symtoms. I do not have reflux. From what I understand you don't have to have reflux or rings in your esoph. I want to be armed with info. when I go back for the results. The only treatment is food elimination as well as steriods and acid blocker meds. I really don't want to go that route (meaning meds-I would gladly do food elimination), but I am tired of not being able to eat much, feeling like I'm choking, and getting food stuck.

Any insight would be oh, so helpful. TIA!

I know this thread is quite old but I have been suffering from these symptoms, had the endo and have esophagitis from reflux and have gastritis also. Nothing I have tried has worked and I don't want to try the acid blockers but after more than 6 months of this I am desperate. How is your esophagitis hopefulmama? Any advice for me?
