Tonight's the night!

Overlapping with Heroes!

Can't watch either of them until the Husband gets home.

Spoilers, so proceed at your own risk

Well?? What didja all think?

I loved it. Thought it was very satisfying. I think House made real progress without loosing his assholedness. Andre Braugher as Dr. Nolan was wonderfully reassuring and sturdy. Fascinating, touching and well done.

They kept calling him Greg.

One weak moment: when Nolan calls House to diagnose his dying father and House of course immediately discerns the real reason why he asked him to come, and ruthlessly tells him why. It lacked credibility, I can't imagine Dr. Nolan actually asking House to come diagnose his dying father.

One more weak moment: the rap at the end. Too cute.

Fantastic: when he plunged his head in the cake. That was Hugh Laurie.

Any predictions for the future? How is this going to affect his relationship with Wilson? Cuddy? The Cottages?

What a great episode. I was grinning from ear-to-ear at the end.
I loved Dr.Nolan. He got House. House couldn't pull anything over him and that was wonderful to see.
Just a great episode, can't even get into all the details. I'm just so happy to have House back

Well, it could have an utterly crap episode and I would still be happy. I really missed House

I thought that was the best episode of House I've seen in a LONG time. I freakin' LOVED it. Can't wait to see how the rest of the season goes. I think there's a balance between cynical curmudgeon House and occasionally in touch with his feelings House and if they can achieve that, it will be perfect. And we won't lose what we all love about the show, but yet his character can finally grow a little. He got stagnant for a while.

It was good, but as far as the unbelievable part where the dr asks House to come to his father's bedside- well House as a show is never totally believable. I find it a total fantasy of a show.

But.....

How HOTT was that part where he shed a tear during the passion?!

I like him breaking down into a human being. I really really do. It won't last, but I enjoyed that a lot.

Love love love love LOVED IT!

I wish he would womanize me! Oh, the things I would do to him.. haha!

I loved the episode too- but for some reason I thought he would be in the psychiatric hospital for more than one episode. I was so bummed when he went to the girl's house and found out she was moving. Maybe there is hope for he and Cuddy afterall? Oh yes, and the tear.. hot hot hot.

I can't wait till next week!

I had a good dream about Hugh Laurie once

I really liked the show on Monday. It was quite different in a lot of good ways, although I was glad to see them still work in House diagnosing someone correctly (the music box), and I loved the way they did that. I shed a couple of tears when she woke up!!

Loved this ep.

The tear WAS hot- and I love that actress. I don't know, his relationship with Cuddy seems so dysfunctional compared to that. Maybe we'll see her again.

Wasn't Mira Sorvino supposed to be on some more eps? I thought they had GREAT chemistry.

Glad house is back!

it was different for once, but I miss Cuddy and Cameron and the other "oldies" so I am looking forward to the following episodes. plus, I do watch it for the crazy diseases after all

I think it would have been a great idea to do more episodes of him in the hospital. I really didn't expect him to get out by the shows end and back to his real life. It was a great episode , but it surely didn't fix his problems!

I think when Freedom Master jumped and was injured so severely, that was a big Fail in House's book, it's what got him to seriously look at himself, and hold himself accountable.

But he's still going to be an asshole about it. And
Just an observation:
There have been a few times when he failed. The cortisone guy(didn't really fail, turned out he was right about the cortisone.), girl with infection from her bra strap, Amber, Kutner. Every single time he's been wrong, it scared him. Freedom Master was just the most in-your-face obvious connection of him being wrong. He's so used to playing God and being right that any deviation of that scares the crap out of him. Its going to really hard for him to cope without having the numbness of the vicodin to take away that awareness.
Wow... thats deep. I love this show.

I didn't like it. Actually, I think they should have ended it after the first hour. I thought it would have been better if stretched out to two weeks. I liked the first hour but the second moved too slowly for me. I also didn't understand why the affair had to be there - seemed too shallow.

I think the affair was essential, not necessarily that it was a married women, but house coming together in a broken state with another human who is struggling and also in a broken and desperate state.

He's been unable to open himself up to people who know him, so for me it seemed genuine that he'd finally break so to speak with a relative stranger. There was a common bond between the two of them.

I found it much more profound and thoughtful than when he was trying to get into the pants of some young blonde thing in his practice- that's shallow.

I don't know, I enjoyed that storyline, even though it was awful that the woman was married.

I wonder if they're going to introduce a new woman this season. Because Cameron married Chase (are they married? I lost track) and he seems to have accepted it.

Cuddy now has this baby. And no matter how much emotional progress he makes I can't see him ever getting permanently involved with a mom.

There's his ex-wife, but I think fans were pretty unsatisfied with that story line.

I loved that they showed his emotional side. Maybe the combination of being off the vicodin and being on the antidepressants.. whatever the reason, I liked it. I can't wait till next week!

I agree with the PP- his relationship with Cuddy did seem dysfunctional. I wonder if this German woman will come back into the picture later on.

I *just* saw on MSNBC that Jennifer Morrison (Cameron) is leaving the show.
