Well, I was picturing hand holding leading to kissing leading to ahem... fade to black. It was the whole Cuddy that was just wrong.

If they would have screamed, "I love you!!!" at each other while in the middle of a fight about him wanting to take the pills, it would have made sense. If they would have said it in between her explaining to him why she is going to marry Lucas and her blurting it out because she could not contain it any longer... it would have made sense.

YES! They are far more emotionally charged together day-to-day and even during that very episode than they are at the end of the episode. Yet another reason her professed love and his acceptance just didn't seem real to me.

but this peaceful showing up at his door, she calmly tells him, and he calmly accepts and kisses her.. this makes NO sense.

Exactly -- her whole shpeel that lulled him into bewilderment ruined it.

Yep. If I am going to believe that she was all emotions after that night (which she really had to have been after what they went through) and she realized that life is short and she might as well be with who she loves... that is fine and dandy but it would not have happened the way it did.

Because as much as I love house, lets face it... if you give it calm thought and intellectually think it out... you just wont go to house. he is a hot mess.

I would have rather seen her run straight to House, bed him and dump Lucas in the morning.

This is what should have happened. This exactly. It should have been dramatic and dark, with a bit of bad in it... like the rest of their relationship.

finally saw the last episode of the season. Argh, it didn't do anything for me. Yes, that seemed totally wrong of Cuddy to just show up and be like, "I love you. I don't want to love you, but I just do." Whatevers. But, I did think she looked really cute in scrubs and a ponytail.

I'm finally caught up on the TIVO. I liked the episode with him and the shrink. I thought the finale was good too up until Cuddy showed up at his apartment.

Ending the sexual tension and having two main characters hook up spells death for a series!!! Have the writers not seen Moonlighting, Remington Steele, Cheers? What other examples can I offer up that will expose my old age?

They might be coming to the end of the expected run of the series anyway...and that type of hook-up can mean good ratings for a while.

For the writers, though, I think that development could give a ton of fodder for new story lines.

I have a confession. I would secretly LOVE to wear tight pencil skirts like Cuddy. She looks really hot in them. Can't find them that tight or well-fitting anywhere though! And I don't think I'd look as good in them. Okay, priests/priestesses. Confession over.

Personal Trainer + Spanx + clothes that were custom made to be fitted perfectly for your body = impossible to compete with combo. But believe me if I had a body like hers I would wear sexy tight clothes like that every day.
