What is your DP's favorite carrier?

I have several already to choose from, but I'm just wondering, from an ease of use or easy to learn or even most comfortable standpoint... which one does your DH/DP prefer?

Mine likes the Ergo, hands down. He's tried the Baby Bjorn, the Ergo, and the Moby. He never figured out how to tie the Moby on (I'm sure he could have learned, he just never actually tried). Our daughter hated the Bjorn, so that was out. He likes the Ergo because he can easily put it on by himself and because it feels like a backpack.

All the baby wearing papas I know like the Ergo best, come to think of it.

Mine likes the Ergo best, also. For a newborn he loved a simple pouch (but we didn't get the Ergo until dd was out of it for the cradle hold)

DH will only use his Bjorn, and then wonders why his shoulders hurt all the time.

DS is quickly approaching the Bjorn's weight limit, at which point I'll be setting the thing on fire (not really) and getting them an Ergo.

My DP (man) also loves our Ergo; hands down anyday over the sling or
moby.

Dh loves his ring sling (I made him one in a colour I knew he'd like) but always needs help adjusting it.

He also likes the ergo pretty well but is too nervous to put ds on his back alone.

He really likes the backpack frame carrier - I think because ds is really strapped in & he feels confident he can get him on his back safely alone.

He didn't even want to attempt my moby-style - way too complicated for him - lol.

My dp was afraid of the wrap (we have a CuddlyWrap, like a Moby) and didn't bother trying to figure it out until dd was several months old, but he absolutely loved it once he got the hang of it. The mei tai is the current favorite though.

my DH's favorite carrier is a SSC i made for him, at least for carrying toddlers. with smaller babies he likes a mei tai, he wasn't picky about the brand (freehand, babyhawk, kozy, my DIY's) though he needs longer straps, so the one i made worked better for him because the ones i bought commercially i bought standard straps on because i'm fairly petite and XL straps are ridiculous on me. so i made him one with XL straps, and that ended up being his fave.

he never even tried wrapping (but then again i don't wrap much either), but he will use a ring sling with an itty bitty baby on occasion.

Another vote for Ergo. DH never reaches for another carrier, although he did use a ring sling quite a bit when DS was littler.

DH is a pouch man all the way. Loves how it is so quick and easy. Used it when she was a newborn, still uses it now that she's 2.5 years old.

He's also used the mei tai once in awhile, for wearing her under the kindercoat since it's the easiest to do a tummy-to-tummy carry. The pouch is just for hip hold for the older toddler and that won't work with the kindercoat.

He was too nervous to learn to do wrapping, but now that she's older, he does say that he wished he'd learned it in hindsight. But he's VERY happy with the pouch.

There's a few pics of them in this batch:

The Ergo.

He loves the Moby best.

Another vote for the Ergo. DH wears DD in it all the time!!

He used the Baby Bjorn at the beginning, but the Ergo is more comfortable for him and a little more secure-feeling with the baby. I think DH is more comfortable with the secure, buckled-to-me feeling of those types of carriers than the slings and wraps that I prefer!

DH loved the Moby when DS was tiny. I got him his own pouch (Hotsling) when DS was about 9 months, and he used that a ton now. He likes the Ergo and a frame backpack these days--DS is 2.
