I have short, tiny babies/kids. I'm currently knitting my newborn stash for the upcoming one. My first pair I made I made a 7.5 inch inseam so that they will definitely last through winter as I'm due in December. I finished my second pair today with an inseam of about 7ish (hard to measure with the picot trim). I'm working on my 3rd pair (out of fantastic handspun
and decided to check one of my projects on Ravelry.
I go and find the newborn longies I was looking for and read the info. This pair I made for DD2 I made all lengths longer on to accomodate growing. Want to know the inseam? Around 4ish inches....4.5 in if I measured wrong.
Where the hell did I pull 7.5 from!? Seriously. 7.5 is past the knee on my 2 year old (granted she is my short one
)! I'm glad I checked since that means I will make this pair with a shorter inseam for sure but good grief.
Anyone care to explain to me how to use my brain? It seems to be rather defunct these days.
: Oh well....all the more for a matching hat without the stress of possibly running out of yarn.
