How are you going to avoid getting the swine flu vaccine??

Hi all. Well I have been following all the articles about the swine flu vaccine and how they are planning on making it mandatory, and also use the military to help enforce mandatory vaccination. I am just curious to know what you all are doing to help prepare for this and to avoid getting the vaccine for yourselves and your children. Are any of you planning on not sending your kids to school in the fall? Also I know some of you have talked about quarantining yourselves in your houses, but what if they come to your house to try to give it to you? This whole thing is just scaring me and I am not sure how to prepare for it. I appreciate any advice

I think it's being blown out of proportion. I remember when the bird flu was going on and my housemates were all freaking out, saying they would quarantine themselves too. It never happened...

I'm doubting too that the vaccines will be mandatory. They like to "scare" people but so rarely do they follow through.

Until they are actually knocking on doors, I'm not going to worry about it. I suppose I do feel better though knowing my daughter is home with me so they won't randomly come and inject her without my knowledge. If it comes to that, which I doubt it will.

I think there are going to be so many people lining up for this vax it is going to take a really long time until they even get around to figuring out who doesn't have it.

I plan on simply not showing up at the clinics.

My child isn't school age though, so it will be easier. Plus I am Canadian.

My son is home with me and is only 15 months old so I don't have to worry about school just yet; however, if he was school age and it was mandatory for school children, I would not send him to school that year (or any other year for that matter). Also, if they would be so desperate to resort coming door-to-door for everyone, then I am prepared to hide my entire family some where where they can never find us. I refuse anyone in my family to get that shot, especially my little one. The govt was talking about mandating it starting with the 0-4 year olds and pregnant women! INSANE! I can't stand this country anymore.

I honestly think the resistance of getting this shot is going to be so strong that they will have a hard time making it mandatory. Of course, they seem to have all the power in the world to do what they want, but I think there are a ton of people out there who are against getting this shot.

The govt was talking about making it mandatory for people in healthcare such as nurses etc, and the nurses association is even up in arms about getting this vaccine, so what does that tell you?! If employees in healthcare don't want any parts of it, then something is up.

I just got an email today from Dr. Eisenstein about the CDC holding seminars in 10 locations to get the public's opinions on this. While I don't think the CDC cares about our opinions, I do think that if the people shout out loud enough about all of this, then we will be okay.

Worried

I got that email also. I am hopeful that there will be a good amount of vaccine speculation. I am going to sit tight and hope that it will take until mid to late October for the vaccine to even be available. I am willing to self quarantine or make a run for it if it comes to that.

As of last night they were already predicting a "shortage" so I'm not really concerned at all.

i am packing my papers and getting some basic camping essentials... we are now contemplating where, if indeed it comes down to it, we will set up camp. I will also be learning how to use a rifle just in case i have a bear problem... I am prepared to leave my house and just go.. all gold and other valuables will be hidden... etc etc.. trying to also salvage some seeds etc.. making plans...

i suggest people start collecting maps.. there will be checkpoints

Wont adding squalene take care of a shortage since they can stretch it farther that way?

what i can't believe is that people would actually roll up thier sleeves for this... i always research everything, once i saw the adjuvants and just the whole way this production is going down would raise serious flags. Even if this doesn't become mandatory i would rather be prepared to at least try to escape.

here's a question: if they make it mandatory and you bring your child in for just a well child visit, can they force-jab the child then? would/should we just avoid the WCVs altogether? i've been a little worried about this.

I am not preparing anything because I believe that these articles are conspiracy theories and have no basis in fact.

I'm saving up airline miles. I'll be flying somewhere and hanging out for awhile. I homeschool, so that's not an issue.

I think the chance of this vaccine being made mandatory is vanishingly small, and military enforcement is absolutely out of the question.

The vaccine won't even be available until sometime in October, and they're rationing who will get it (priority groups only). They're not sure how much they'll be able to make as the virus is proving difficult to replicate. Those who get priority (NOT for whom it's mandated) are pregnant women, children, healthcare workers, etc. If some pregnant women and children don't show up and get the vaccine, it will just mean more vaccine available for the people who DO want it.

In 1976 it wasn't mandatory. It was a mass vaccine campaign and 45 million people turned out for the shot, but no one was forcibly vaccinated.

In my opinion, the talk of mandatory vaccination is overblown fearmongering.

ETA: I'm sure members of the military received mandatory vaccinations, but that's par for the course.

Just read a piece about how Wal-Mart is in talks with the US Govt. about making the vaccines available in their stores. Just another reason to avoid shopping there. I'm sure it will be a "bargain."

I try not to buy into the hype that either non vaxers or pro vaxers push. I think this whole "mandatory vaccination!!!" thing is getting blown out of proportion. I don't vaccinate my ds, and I look at this as just another that I will refuse. I will simply say "no shot for me or my family" and I will warn anyone willing to listen about the unknown dangers of blindly vaccinating against a virus that is supposedly going to mutate anyway. Do I think that an "interventionist" will come knocking on my door to get us? No.

I'll avoid them the same way I've avoided all other "mandatory" vaccinations which was to sign the religious exemption statement.
