Companion animal loss section in grief forum

I don't feel comfortable posting about my grief in the main section. I think it would be nice to have a section for those of us grieving the loss of a companion animal.

Just a thought.

The loss of a Pet would be hosted in G&L but that can certainly be considered.

i think the Pets section would receive that well. there's been lots of those types of posts and i think other pet owners really understand

Aw, I'm so sorry! I agree it's a good idea. My mother works for a vet and I'm there all the time. Non-pet people would be very surprised the impact a pet's death can have. Pet people often feel they are being silly or will not be taken seriously if they talk about their grief.
