I love Grandma El's. I haven't found it in any stores, but there are a few sites with free shipping you can order it. We use it on diaper rash and eczema.

When we take the diaper off, we use the hair dryer for a minute or so to make sure the area is really dry. Then just re-diaper. Never had a diaper rash last more then 1 diaper change and we never use creams. Maybe that would help you?

We are big fans of Northern Essence Diaper Salve and the Northern Essence Better Butt(er) Cream

Good luck!

Pinx AV seems to help ds diaper rash more than anything else. Though he still tends to have near constant rashes (mostly due to him refusing to tell us when he needs changed and just running around and acting peachy fine, untill somebody realizes its been a while since he got changed, and then finding he's been sitting in a poopy diaper for who knows how long...)

Boudreaux's makes an all-natural Butt Paste now that we get at Target.

Angel Baby Bottom Balm works well for minor irritations for us. For full-on diaper rash (only happened once so far), Aveeno diaper rash cream worked well. The Aveeno cream was ok on our cotton prefolds, but I think if you're using pocket diapers or anything with microfleece it might be a no-no.
