Water kefir (and milk kefir as well for that matter) grains are plentiful and can easily be had for free or just for the cost of shipping even on craigslist or on a few Yahoo! Groups. I've given away lots of both types of kefir grains myself as mine grow like crazy. If you just want to buy some, you can get some great ones from
www.kefirlady.com. Marilyn provides great ongoing support and also guarantees her kefir grains. You don't need a yogurt starter! All you need is your favorite yogurt with live cultures and add that to milk and culture it in a warm place. It's super easy to make yogurt. Even my kids help.
