Thank you all for your hugs. I am going in tomorrow for my HSG. I'm a bit apprehensive about the procedure but hopeful that we can get some more answers from it. So, I'm just waiting around hoping to move onto IUI in the near future and trying oh so hard to stay positive.

Best wishes to all!!
Good luck with your HSG... just remember- it goes. so. flipping. quickly. I don't even think I was on the table for ten minutes when I got it done two weeks ago. I hope you get good results from it too!!! :

Had my HSG today and I feel like there are now more questions than answers. The test confirmed that my tubes are open but that I have a fibroid that is in the uterine cavity. RE wants me to see another specialist about having it removed. Anyone out there with any experience with this? The RE thinks that the fibroid could be preventing implantation--similar to an IUD.

Also, my DH met with the urologist that our RE recommended a couple weeks ago and the urologist said that he didn't think that DHs numbers were bad enough to have a varicocele repair. Today with the RE we were told that DH will need the repair because DH's numbers are not good enough to move into IUI after my fibroid removal. He said we would have to go straight to IVF instead. DH's last SA was about 11 million but with poor motility. I'm frustrated because the urologist the RE recommended gave us bad advice.

Also, my HSG experience wasn't too bad. I had quite a bit of cramping during the procedure but it was over within 10 minutes so the pain was easily managed. The worst part was moving from the procedure room to the bathroom next door. In that 10 step walk I had blood running down my legs into my booties.

Thanks CRM. You can move me to the grad list. I'm going to think positive.

Trumpcard -- no experience here with fibroids, but it's good to know that you have a plan of action. Maybe this is all you will need to be successful.

What's up with that urologist?! From everything I've read, 11 mill would be cause for surgery. Are you going to find another one to do it?

Right on!! I have moved you to graduates, let me know if you want me to add your EDD or month.

trumpcard!!! That sounds so frustrating. Sometimes it would be good to just get it straight, wouldn't it? I think sometimes people are trying to break it to us gently and they end up screwing us around. Take good care and good luck with your next steps.

AFM, my second beta shows my numbers are risiing nicely. U/s scheduled for September 1.

We are going to continue with bloodwork for DH that this current urologist ordered and then decide where to go next. Sooooooo furstrating. That was already the second urologist DH has seen.

Thanks!
I am happy that I called today for a consult for fibroid removal and this new doctor is able to see me tomorrow. Hoping for some more answers and also that this procedure may be covered by insurance since it is not strictly fertility related.

Congrats to all the BFPs again. In the midst of my frustration I really do take comfort in seeing graduates from this board!!

Good luck, Trumpcard! DH is having a varicocele repair in October, and his numbers are higher than your DH's. I wish you could have our urologist. He's awesome. Would your urologist agree to surgery, even though he doesn't recommend it?

Our doctor thinks that it will be covered by insurance, so I feel pretty optimistic about that.

Thanks CRM... POAS again this morning just to make sure it wasn't something I dreamed of... two nice pink lines again

I'm very incredibly insanely lucky that I got my BFP off of Clomid (and an HSG) alone without needing the IUI we were going to do next cycle.... but can I still join you gals in the PG after IF thread?
