DH and I both have hazel eyes. Which isn't an option. If I use brown or green I get...
Me green/Him brown--18% chance of blue
Both green-- 25% chance blue
Both brown-- 14% chance blue
Of my three kids they are all blue. We'll see what I get with this one. LOL
I'll be highly shocked if DS's eyes don't remain brown. Now, it'll be interesting to see what shade of brown they become. Right now his eyes are practically black.
yeah, hazel isn't an option, and DH and I are both hazel. But I know from high school biology that since both of us have one blue eyed parent (DH's mom and my dad are both blue eyed) and one hazel eyed parent, we have a 3/4 chance of having brown/hazel eyed kids and 1/4 chance of a blue eyed one.
Brown, both DH and I have brown eyes. The thing is, I have really dark brown eyes, that look almost black. My two older kids have my, "black" eyes and it looks like DS3 got it too.
I have greenish hazel (so I put green?) and DH has blue. My mom has blue eyes, so I have a blue gene too. Given all that, we have a 50% chance of having a blue eyed child and 50% chance of a green/hazel eyed child. So far we have one of each and Neela's eyes look so smokey blue that I am guessing her eyes will become some shade of hazel too.
I wish they had an option for hazel. I have brown eyes and so do both my parents, but DH has hazel (the blue-green kind) and both his parents have blue. I know it's VERY likely that DD will have brown, but I'm kind of holding out for hazel! My mom says her eyes will be brown, as the color blue they are now is similar to the color of blue that me and my brothers had as babies (and we all have brown now). We'll see!
