Backache? What am I doing wrong?

My son seems to like being wrapped but I'm quickly finding it's giving me a horrific back ache in my upper back(right about where the bra line is horizontally).

So far I've used the kangaroo wrap style, one similar but from a website link here(and it requires only me not 2 people) & one other I can't think of right now.

Is there a better position to not have a backache with it in? Am I doing something wrong? He's not quite a month old & weighs about 9 lbs atm.

Is this what you're doing?

In my experience, back pain in any carrier comes when your baby isn't in the right position. He needs to be in the babywearing zone, between your waist and your collarbone. If he's too low and too loose, his weight will drag downwards and put stress on your shoulders and back.

With the Moby, definitely tie it a bit tighter than you think you're going to need it, as the baby's weight will stretch out the fabric when you put him in.

When you put it on, make sure that the fabric doesn't get twisted -- it should be smooth and flat across your back.

The Moby instructions are very good, and I would practice with them:
