Shot in the dark: PVC/BPA-free "plastic" pencil box?

This is the one thing I haven't been able to find an eco-friendly option for anywhere. Everything else on my son's school list has an eco-friendly option except for this one.

My next step is to try Goodwill and hope for a used one. But I'd like to find a non non-healthy plastic one if I can, first. Anybody know of one?

TIA!

Why not just use a zippered bag?

Target had several options. I saw recycled plastic pencil boxes for $1 on an endcap in the stationery section--next to compressed recycled paper pencils and other "eco-friendly" school supplies. In the teen back-to-school section there were neat standing zippered pencil cases made of fabric and mesh. There are always the zippered pouches that fit onto a three-ring binder too. They usually come in both plastic and fabric versions.

I would have a hard time finding eco-friendly options for everything on my kids' lists! Bic pens, dry erase markers, and plastic divider tabs figure prominently.

Zippered bags are good, and they travel well, but they get GROSS pretty quickly.

We got a recycled plastic/paper pulp on from Target. It is recyclable (no 2 iiirc) again when your done with it.
